TA at Work – Structures, Dynamics and Power
When?
Timisoara, 11, 12, 13 December 2009
Trainer:
Lynda Tongue, PTSTA (O)
What is it about?
It is said that we spend a third of our lives at work – which is a long time to feel miserable, powerless and out of step with others.
In his book “Structures and Dynamics of Organisations and Groups” Eric Berne had some interesting and insightful things to say about how organisations are structured, how groups come together and perform (or not), and on effective styles of leadership. Come along to this workshop and find out about boundaries, canons, culture and agitation – and lots, lots more!
What is the relevance?
We are born into a family structure which is placed in a wider society – all human beings live within systems and organisations. Some are highly structured and corporate, and some are loosely structured and informal – some are psychologically healthy places to be, and many are not.
For whom is it of special interest?
This workshop is for all who work in organisations as coaches, trainers, managers etc and for all those who work in the helping professions supporting clients who work in organisations.
What will participants take away?
Participants will take away a greater understanding of the way in which organisations work and will have greater insights into their own process within groups. They will have the opportunity to learn how to assess organisations from a structural and psychological point of view and this will enable them to diagnose possible changes to be made either for themselves, or for when working with a client.
There will be opportunities for exploration, discussion, sharing and playing and long-lasting learning.
Note: This workshop will take place in Timisoara, Romania. Read the Romanian presentation here.
